Church Links

The school has close links with both St Peter's Church and Benington Methodist Church. Ministers from both churches visit the school regularly for school assemblies, and school services are held at St Peters, including our Easter service, our year 6 leavers service and our Christmas carol service.

The school choir often sings at church services, in particular, on Mothering Sunday and at the Christmas Carol Service.

Children from the school have also been involved with decorating St. Peter's Church for its Floral Festival by making displays.

Village Events

The school choir often sings to the Tuesday Club (overs 60s) in Benington Village Hall.

Children take part in country dancing and maypole dancing at Benington Village Fair, held every year in July on the village green.

Every year, children and parents donate items to make up Harvest Boxes. The boxes are decorated by the children, who then deliver them to the more elderly members of the community, who are always very appreciative.

Our harvest parcels were delivered to residents of the village in October. We received many lovely thank you letters. We had so many parcels that children in key stage 2 decided to take the excess food to the food bank in Stevenage.
