Beech News 2018 - 2019

Modern Europe

Beech Class are learning about modern Europe. Fynn made a volcano for his homework and demonstrated it today. The class were very impressed.

Zoo Lab

In September Beech Class had a visit from the Zoo Lab. They all had the opportunity to look and touch the animals, including mice and snakes. Here are a few photos.

Knebworth House

Beech Class had fun learning about the Tudors at Knebworth House. We dressed up, played Tudor instruments and tried out calligraphy. After lunch we planned a Tudor banquet.

Daisy made a pie following a Tudor recipe for our topic.

Egyptian workshop

Beech Class took part in an Egyptian workshop. We learned about mummification and Egyptian Gods, hunted hippos and crocodiles and played an Egyptian game. We learned lots and had fun.

Beech Class have been to Pizza Express where they all learnt to make pizza!

Beech class went to Westmill Farm as part of our topic on mountains. This was paid for with money from the Sports Premium Funding. We had a fantastic time, but it was very cold. Thank you so much to all the parents for supporting us.

As part of their topic on World War 2, Beech class visited The Royal Gunpowder Mills at Waltham Abbey, where they learnt what it was like to be an evacuee.

Beech Class raised £79.30 to help support the WWF in saving the rainforest. They did extra jobs and some brought in their pocket money. I am really proud of their efforts.
