Skipping Workshop

Each class had a skipping workshop and learnt many skipping skills.  The children had a fantastic day and the progress within the lessons was fantastic! Children that hadn’t ever skipped before were able to consistently skip by the end of the lesson.
We practised what we’d learnt for Sport Relief.  We wore our own sporty clothes to school and donated £1.  Thank you to everyone that donated to Sport Relief.  As a school we raised a total of £97.

Rising Stars Fencing competition

Children from year 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 participated in the Rising Stars Fencing competition at the Gordon Craig Leisure Centre on 27th April.  The children enjoyed using both the foam fencing equipment and the plastic equipment with the helmets.  They got better with practise and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.  They came 2nd overall in the competition.  Very well done to our Fencing stars!
