Our Links with St Peter’s Church
Our school has a strong and cherished relationship with St Peter’s Church, which plays a central role in the spiritual life of our community. Throughout the year, we hold a number of key services at the church, including our Easter Service, Year 6 Leavers’ Service, Christingle, and Christmas Carol Service. These special occasions bring children, families and staff together in a meaningful and reflective way.
Our school choir regularly performs at church events such as Mothering Sunday, the Pet Service, and the Christmas Carol Service. Pupils also have opportunities to take part in, or even lead, elements of worship—helping them grow in confidence, responsibility and spiritual understanding.
Children from our school also contribute to the church’s wider community events. For example, they have created displays for St Peter’s Floral Festival, bringing colour, creativity and joy to the church environment.
Our close partnership with St Peter’s Church strengthens the spiritual development of our pupils. By worshipping in the church, working alongside its congregation, and taking part in shared celebrations, children experience the church as a welcoming and valued part of their lives. These links help nurture a sense of belonging, shared purpose and community rooted in Christian values.
