Well-being
We place a strong emphasis on the well-being of our school community through a structured PSHE curriculum, dedicated well-being units and weekly circle times. A trained nurture teaching assistant supports pupils and families, while opportunities such as harvest, church events and charitable fundraising encourage pupils to contribute to the wider community.
Our approach is rooted in our core values of Trust, Care, Respect and Spirituality, and inspired by the Good Samaritan, promoting kindness, compassion and responsibility towards others. We recognise the importance of supporting pupils’ subjective well-being, including their emotional, social and spiritual development, to help them feel valued, connected and resilient.
By fostering positive well-being, we aim to reduce risks linked to poor mental health, isolation and unsafe behaviours, ensuring all pupils are supported to flourish and develop into confident, responsible members of society.
