Pupil Leadership Team

We choose prefects from Oak Class who are positive, responsible, caring and supportive pupils. Prefects are responsible for jobs including designing the school playground markings and selling poppies.

We also have Worship monitors who are responsible for monitoring worship, choosing big questions and feeding back to the Collective Worship subject lead.

Finally, we have playground monitors who are chosen to help support pupils at break time.

Spiritual Leaders

Spiritual Leaders will greet everyone in the morning, helping to create a warm, welcoming and reflective start to the day. They will open and close much of the worship, setting the tone through words, actions and moments of stillness. As part of their role, they will also lead some worship sessions, sharing stories, prayers or reflections that support the spiritual life of the school. They encourage the school community to pause, reflect and think deeply about themselves, others and the world.

They support prayer by modelling how prayer can be used for thanks, hope, comfort and guidance. They will help introduce and lead prayers during worship, ensuring there are inclusive opportunities for stillness and reflection, so that every child can engage in a way that feels meaningful to them.

Pupils can apply for the role of Spiritual Leader through letters, posters or PowerPoints, giving them the opportunity to express why they feel called to the role and how they believe they can contribute to the spiritual life of the school. The role is open to children from Year 4 to Year 6, allowing a range of ages to take on leadership responsibilities and develop confidence in guiding worship and supporting the school community.
