Coronavirus (Covid-19) Catch-up premium
How it is intended that the grant will be spent ;
We are spending the catch up money on two days of TA intervention support. This equates to a morning in Y3/4 and a morning in Y5/6 and 2 afternoons in Y1/2. Through pupil progress meetings we have identified children who would benefit from specific support. Each class teacher has planned a range of interventions and set a baseline and success criteria. These interventions will run for half a term before children are re-assessed.
We have used some of our catch up money to subscribe to Doodle maths and English. This has already proved successful at engaging our children.
-
Using Doodle for just 10 minutes a day is proven to help children make three months of progress in just one month
-
The clever algorithm powering Doodle builds every child a personalised work programme tailored to their strengths and weaknesses
-
It’s fun and engaging, with educational games, motivational collectables and nationwide challenges to take part in
-
As it’s designed for children to use independently, it’s a fun educational activity which children can enjoy without adult input
How the effect of this expenditure on the educational attainment of those pupils at the school will be assessed;
Children were baseline assessed before the interventions began. Targets were shared with the TA, children and parents. Each half term they will be re-assessed and progress and attainment measured and shared.
